Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has received high praise for the job he has done over the last two years. New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman feels it is well-warranted.

McVay is widely considered the most brilliant, young mind in football. According to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, Edelman also added stud to that list.

“It's very remarkable. I mean, he's a stud. He's my age and he's leading an organization to a Super Bowl,” Edelman said. “It's unbelievable and it's a testament to how much he knows the game, how hard he works.

Edelman's praise is certainly understandable for a number of reasons. The Rams caught plenty of flak for making McVay the youngest head coach in NFL history. Fortunately, it has quickly proved to be the right decision as every team is now scrambling to find the next coach that fits his profile.

Aside from coaching, Edelman knows full well that McVay can grind it out on the field as well. ESPN recently unearthed some footage on a MAC showdown between Kent State and Miami (OH). McVay's team was able to edge out Edelman the last time they faced off and he is hoping to do it again in Super Bowl LIII.

It is safe to say there is a sense of mutual respect between the two. McVay knows full well what Edelman brings to the table in these types of games. The Rams will need to find a way to contain one of quarterback Tom Brady's favorite targets if they hope to pull out a win.
