The Los Angeles Rams lost in disappointing fashion on to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18. While the Rams really had nothing to gain besides positioning in the NFC playoffs, it was still a disappointing effort from Los Angeles. The Rams were also hit with some brutal injury updates to their secondary ahead of the playoffs.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said that safety Jordan Fuller may require ankle surgery, per Stu Jackson of Rams.com. That's a big potential loss for Los Angeles ahead of the playoffs, as Fuller was the team's defensive signal-caller in the backfield.

Fuller led the team in tackles and had one interception while appearing in 16 games.

Per McVay, the team will now turn to either of Jalen Ramsey, Troy Reeder or Travin Howard to fill the role that Fuller occupied.

Aside from Fuller, McVay also said that cornerback Darious Williams is being looked at for a shoulder injury while safety Taylor Rapp is in the concussion protocol.

These injuries to the back end are far from ideal for a Rams team that has to take on Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card round. Los Angeles's depth will be tested after injuries to Jordan Fuller and others in the secondary.
