Aaron Donald just signed a massive extension with the Los Angeles Rams, and unsurprisingly, Odell Beckham Jr. is hyped to see the star defensive lineman return.

After the Rams themselves confirmed the new contract on Twitter, OBJ shared the announcement and expressed his delight for his former Rams teammate. Donald got a $40 million raise over the next three seasons after helping LA win Super Bowl LVI , putting him on track to earn $95 million throughout his extension.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Aaron Donald is now the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history, and deservingly so. He was a key part of the Rams' championship run, and with him back on the field, they improved their chances of defending their title.

As for Odell Beckham Jr., his future remains uncertain. He is still recovering from the ACL tear he suffered during their Super Bowl showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals, and so he remains unsigned.

OBJ will likely miss the early part of the 2022 campaign, and it's looking likely he'll be a free agent until he is available to return. There is still a chance he runs it back with the Rams, especially with the core group intact, but a lot can happen throughout the next few months to say for certainty.

For now, fans just have to hope Beckham recovers quickly and gets back to the field soon.
