The Los Angeles Rams will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8 in London with the Bengals searching for their first win of the season. Despite the slow start, Sean McVay believes that Taylor is a perfect candidate to turn the Bengals around.

“I think if there is anybody that is meant to handle a little bit of adversity the right way as a leader with a consistency approach, to continue to just battle and come on the right end of it, I think it's Zac,” McVay said Friday via team transcript. “Hopefully, he'll get that thing going after this week.”

Of course, McVay is rooting for his former assistant but he would love to see them improve after Week 8. Currently, the Rams are double-digit favorites to defeat Cincinnati in front of the neutral crowd.

Prior to becoming the head coach of the Bengals, Taylor spent the previous two seasons as McVay's assistant wide receivers and quarterbacks coach. Nevertheless, due to his relationship with McVay, he was considered as a coveted option at head coach.

Unfortunately, the rookie head coach has been unable to carry over his success in Los Angeles to Cincinnati. The Bengals are 0-7 to begin the season and are in last place in the AFC North. The only other team in the NFL who has yet to win a game is the Miami Dolphins.

As bad as it's been for Taylor, there has been a bevy of injuries that have hindered them on both sides of the ball. Altogether, the offense is missing John Ross, A.J. Green and are without quite a few of their offensive linemen.

In light of that, it's too early to judge Taylor for the job he's done with the Bengals. Sadly for him, it doesn't seem to be getting better anytime soon.
