Since being traded to the Los Angeles Rams earlier this offseason, star wide receiver Brandin Cooks has quickly made a strong impression on the franchise. This has seen him already hammer out a five-year, $80 million extension before he has even stepped on the field with the team.

With that in mind, a part of this huge amount of excitement toward Cooks has been how fast he has been able to fit right into the mix seamless. Head coach Sean McVay has voiced that he has been impressed by the speed in which has learned his offensive system this offseason, according to Dan Greenspan of the Associated Press.

The fact that he has caught the attention of McVay should speak volumes toward the type of player that Cooks has quickly proven to be to the franchise. It also shows his tremendous work ethic to learn a new playbook this summer that has allowed him to give the team much confidence that could translate to him being a major piece to the puzzle enough so to commit to a lucrative long-term deal.

Los Angeles is hoping his big-play ability that includes being a deep-ball threat could work wonders for the team's already explosive offense. Through his first four seasons in the league, he has established himself as one of the more dynamic wide receivers as he has topped 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons.

All of this progress that Cooks has continued to make over the offseason in picking up the Rams' offense could lead to him posting yet another highly productive campaign.
