Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay's home was burglarized Thursday night, according to TMZ sports.

The three men who broke into his Los Angeles home were all wearing hoodies, bandannas, and gloves. They reportedly smashed through the back door of his home and stole over $20,000 worth of valuables.

According to the report, McVay and his wife were not home at the time. The security alarm in his home was triggered as a result of the break-in, but by the time law enforcement officials arrived, the burglars had already left the area.

It's good to hear that McVay and his wife are safe, but the news of the break-in is very unfortunate. The McVays' home was substantially damaged. Although fixing their home won't be a problem, what can they do to prevent a burglary from happening again?

Rams wide receiver Robert Woods was in a circumstance similar to what McVay is dealing with now. Woods' home was broken into last year; whether it is a coincidence that members of the Rams were targeted is still up in the air.

If the alarm couldn't get law enforcement to arrive in time and the home camera couldn't identify the criminals, the McVays might want to consider moving to a different house. For now, they'll stay put and try to repair the damage to their home.

Maybe Sean McVay should invest in a personal security guard for his home. It's good to hear that no one was physically harmed.

We will keep you updated if or when the criminals are found.
