Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh does not exactly have the reputation of a boy scout, so it should come as no surprise that he caused some problems during his time with the Los Angeles Rams this past season.

According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, Suh was a “poor culture fit” with the Rams and gave Los Angeles defensive line coach Bill Johnson some issues.

Robinson adds that while the Rams would probably never say so publicly, removing him from the defense is actually addition by subtraction in terms of leadership.

Suh played in all 16 games for LA this past season, totaling 59 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a couple of fumble recoveries and four passes defended in forming a pretty impressive tandem with Aaron Donald up front.

However, it seemed pretty evident that the Rams wanted nothing to do with re-signing Suh this offseason, as the veteran remained on the market for quite some time before the Buccaneers scooped him up.

Now, we know why Los Angeles may not have been so keen on bringing him back.

Suh, who played his collegiate football at the University of Nebraska, was originally selected by the Detroit Lions with the second overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He spent the first five years of his career with the Lions and developed into one of the best defensive players in the league, making four Pro Bowl appearances and notching First-Team All-Pro honors three times.

The 32-year-old then went on to sign a massive deal with the Miami Dolphins, but was a huge disappointment and was ultimately cut by the Dolphins in March 2018. The Rams then signed him that April.
