The Los Angeles Rams are 2-0 to start the 2019 NFL regular season, thanks in part to quarterback Jared Goff and receiver Brandin Cooks. After a rocky Week 1 performance on the road against the Carolina Panthers, Goff bounced back in Week 2, as he and the Rams defeated the New Orleans Saints 27-9 in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.

One of the highlights of Goff's outing was a touchdown strike caught by former Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks. Not only did Goff and Cooks add six points to the scoreboard, but the tandem did so in style; Goff truly threaded the needle on this toss.

Just recently receiving a long term contract extension from the Rams, Goff is starting to put things together at the right time as Los Angeles continues to serve as the leader in the clubhouse to win the NFC in 2019-20. On Sunday afternoon against the Saints, Goff completed 19 of his 28 passing attempts for 283 yards through the air and one touchdown, which was hauled in by the aforementioned Cooks.

Cooks also had a productive outing in Los Angeles on Sunday en route to registering three receptions for 74 yards and the lone score.

The Rams previously defeated the Panthers on the road in Week 1 to start the team's season off on a high note while avoiding what could have very easily become a trap game. With two wins already under their belt, the Rams can begin to look ahead to the team's Week 3 matchup against the 0-1 Cleveland Browns, who play the New York Jets on Monday night.
