The Los Angeles Rams, Cooper Kupp, and Jared Goff squared off with the New York Giants in Week 4 of the NFL regular season. For a while, there was not much going on in terms of offensive fireworks.
Superstar Los Angeles wide receiver Cooper Kupp changed all of that. The Rams found themselves up just one point (10-9) in the fourth quarter. Then Kupp took a Jared Goff pass 55 yards for a touchdown.
On that touchdown, he showed his elite speed for the Rams.
On third and three, Goff looked to Kupp who was going across the middle of the field. While the throw was a little bit high, it was basically right on the money and allowed Kupp to jump up and, crucially, keep running for the Rams.
From there, the rest was up to Kupp. He caught the ball right around the 40, and went those last 40 yards himself.
Kupp used his incredible speed to do that for the Rams. He blew right past the defenders and really left them well in his dust.
Kupp ended the game with five receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown. Most of the plays for the Rams were short yardage, as they chewed clock and tried to move down the field slowly.
This was the exact opposite of that; Goff found Kupp and let his superstar wide receiver find his way to the end zone for the Rams.
That touchdown ended up being the dagger as well. The touchdown put the Rams up 17-9, and that was the final score.
It was a closer game than many expected, as the Giants put up a good fight against the Rams. But Kupp and company found a way to win.
