Toronto Raptors shooting guard Danny Green honored Craig Sager and Stuart Scott before Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
Sager and Scott were two of the best sports reporters in the business. Scott passed away in 2015 after he lost his battle with cancer. Sager passed away in 2016 due to acute myeloid leukemia.
This is a great gesture by Green. The Raptors are hoping they can win Game 4 to tie the series up at two games apiece with the Bucks.
It's always neat to see how NBA players enter the stadium in their luxury coats and pants. Green used his platform to pay respect to Scott and Sager, who will always associated with playoff basketball.
On the basketball court, the Raptors need Green to snap out of his shooting slump. The veteran guard is shooting just 20.0 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from beyond the arc against the Bucks through the first three games. Green is one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA. It's surprising to see him struggle like this.
Maybe Green's coat honoring Scott and Sager will bring him and the Raptors some good fortunate in Game 4. Toronto can't afford to go down 1-3 with Game 5 being in Milwaukee.
