Toronto Raptors star point guard Kyle Lowry has been ruled out of the team's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday:

Kyle Lowry, who has been nursing an ankle injury he suffered against the New York Knicks earlier this week, will be missing his second straight game. Fred VanVleet, who started in his place against OKC on Wednesday, is once again expected to start.

While the All-Star guard isn't expected to miss a significant amount of time, the Raptors should also be cautious about his health moving forward. Lowry will play a key role in their hopes of winning a championship this season, so it is important for him to be 100 percent come the playoffs.

Despite Lowry's absence, the Raptors had no problem taking care of the Thunder, who they beat 123-114 on the road.

Five starters scored in double figures, led by Pascal Siakam, who had 33 points and 13 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard also had a double-double with 22 points and 10 boards. VanVleet had 23 points and six assists.

Russell Westbrook had 42 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists, while Paul George finished with 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists in a losing effort.

This time, it's the Thunder's turn to visit the Raptors on their home turf. OKC will look to snap its four-game losing streak against Toronto.
