Kawhi Leonard has decided to take his talents to the Western Conference, joining the LA Clippers on a max deal after leading the Raptors to their first championship in franchise history. Leonard's decision came as a surprise to some, but it sounds like Raptors head coach Nick Nurse was prepared to take the news.

According to a report from ESPN's Rachel Nichols, Nurse was watching a Prince impersonator when he received a text stating that Leonard had made his decision. There was no sulking here, though. Nichols notes that Nurse simply shrugged his shoulders and enjoyed the rest of the show:

Leonard led the Raptors to a 58-24 overall record, which earned the team a No. 2 overall seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. His last-second shot over the outstretched arm of Sixers big man Joel Embiid will likely go down as one the greatest shots in franchise history, as it lifted the team into the conference finals:

Now, as a member of the Clippers, Leonard will be paired with Paul George, who joined the team by way of a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Together, the two All-Stars will look to push the Clippers to their first-ever title.

Simply put, the acquisitions of Leonard and George are game-changers for LA, and the franchise is currently one of the title favorites heading into next season.
