Raptors big man Serge Ibaka has been on a hot streak as of late. In fact, he hit 18 consecutive shots over the course of Toronto's last two games — a feat that hasn't been accomplished since Lakers legend Wilt Chamberlain.

Ibaka had a career night against the Lakers, who haven't managed to defeat the Raptors since 2014. Ibaka outscored Los Angeles by himself through the first quarter and didn't miss a shot until the third. In 29 minutes of action, Ibaka racked up a career-high 34 points on 15-of-17 shooting from the field (1-of-1 from beyond the arc, 3-of-3 from the free-throw line), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

According to ESPN, Ibaka became the first player to start a game 14-of-14 from the field since Shaquille O'Neal did it in February 2006.

“I was just focused,” Ibaka told ESPN. “I knew Kawhi was out tonight, so I just wanted to go out there and do my best.”

Raptors head coach Nick Nurse had high praise for Ibaka's game following Sunday's win.

“The best thing is he's doing it with some real good composure,” Nurse said of Ibaka. “He's getting in there and taking his time. He's using his size, his power, and using pretty good footwork, so it's something we can go to.”

Ibaka wasn't the only Toronto stand-out on Sunday night, though. Kyle Lowry also had a big game, scoring 21 points, 15 assists, six rebounds, two steals and one block in 33 minutes of playing time, continuing his streak of consecutive games with 10 or more assists.

The Raptors will be back in action on Monday night, when they'll travel to Utah for a match-up against the Jazz. Tip-off inside Vivint Smart Home Arena is set for 9:00 p.m. EST.
