Toronto Raptors star small forward Kawhi Leonard reportedly purchased a property in Toronto, according to Michael Landsberg of TSN.

Leonard becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer once he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Raptors.

If the report is true, this could mean Leonard will re-sign with the Raptors. The three-time All-Star and two-time Defensive Player of the Year isn't going to play for the Clippers or Lakers but live in Toronto during the offseason.

“What we’ve heard is that he’s purchased a property in Toronto. We’ve heard this now from two different sources, indicating that there’s something there.”

The Raptors can offer Leonard the most money in free agency and a fifth year on his contract. Kawhi and the Raptors are currently tied with the Golden State Warriors at 1-1 in the NBA Finals.

When Toronto president Masai Ujiri traded for Leonard last summer, the prevailing thought around the league was that Kawhi was going to be a one-year rental since he's been heavily linked to the Clippers and Lakers.

However, it appears the Raptors are in the same boat as the Oklahoma City Thunder. They might have sold Leonard on Toronto the same way the Thunder sold Paul George on OKC.
