The Baltimore Ravens will be getting a boost on their secondary as cornerback Marlon Humphrey is set to be activated off the team's reserve/COVID-19 list. He is expected to suit up in their upcoming tilt against the New England Patriots in Week 10, as per Jamison Hensley of ABC News.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide previously tested positive for COVID-19 a day after their 28-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8 proceedings. Marlon Humphrey was the first Ravens player to test positive during the season and was then required to be quarantined for 10 days.

His contraction of the virus eventually ruled him out of their Week 9 encounter against the Indianapolis Colts. Despite his absence, the Ravens managed to pull through and run away with a 24-10 win. Their most recent victory helped them to snag a 6-2 record and nab second place in the AFC North division.

Marlon Humphrey's return is timely as the team's secondary has been dealt with a handful of injuries. Rookie cornerback Khalil Dorsey just became the fourth Baltimore ball-hawker to be placed on injured reserve. Through seven appearances this season, the 2019 Pro Bowler amassed a total of 32 solo tackles, four forced fumbles, and an interception for the Ravens.

On the other side of the field, the Patriots are coming off a 30-27 win against the New York Jets en route to a 3-5 record. With Marlon Humphrey's return, the Ravens will hope to fend off a hungry Patriots squad who is aiming to get a much-needed victory to boost their playoff chances this season.

The Ravens are 10th in the NFL this season against the pass, as they are allowing 223.1 passing yards per game.
