Heading into their Monday night matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens offense will be missing several key players.

Second-year wide receiver Rashod Bateman has been lost for the season due to a foot injury. Running back J.K. Dobbins is still on injured reserve as he deals with recovering from his knee injury. Star tight end Mark Andrews, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury, will be out of the Ravens lineup again. Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson is questionable heading into the game, but may not be ready to go come kick-off.

With several players out, the Ravens offense has had to look for other options. One of them is adding one of the most storied wide receivers in recent history. And tonight, he will make his debut.

Via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:

“The #Ravens have activated WR DeSean Jackson tonight vs the #Saints.”

Jackson, who is now 35 years old, will be stepping into the 15th season of his career. The explosive pass catcher has been among the league's best at times. He has appeared in 176 total games throughout his career, recording 632 receptions for 11,110 receiving yards and 58 total touchdowns.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense may have to lean on the veteran pass catcher in his first appearance of the season.

With the Ravens currently sitting at 5-3 and atop the AFC North, Jackson finds himself firmly in the MVP conversation. He has once again put together a strong campaign, even with his offense nowhere near full health. With the arrival of another wide receiver, he may be headed toward another big game.
