Legendary Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed was a terrifying man for plenty of offenses during the 2000s. The NFL recognized his ability to stop the offense and decided to include him to the NFL 100 All-Time Team.

The NFL made the announcement of his inclusion on its official Twitter account. The image that came along with it was a beautiful caricature of one of the best safeties the NFL has ever seen suit up.

He's established himself as one of the top defenders in the NFL that specializes in hawking the passing lanes. His competitiveness and knack for calculating the trajectory of the ball make him one of the most productive secondary players in the 2000s.

He was named to the Pro Bowl nine times as well as the First-Team All-Pro five times. This year, he was named to the Hall of Fame and deservedly got his yellow jacket.

“I always loved how when the game was on the line, he wanted the ball,” Reed said, per Associated Press' David Ginsburg. “That was something I could say was in me for a long time. When it was time to do something, I wanted to be that guy. A lot of that came because of watching those Chicago Bulls, man.”

The team was also thankful to have him on their team.

“Ed was among the smartest and most remarkable, clutch playmakers in NFL history,” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said. “You never felt the game was out of reach when No. 20 was on the field.”

Through his 12 years of playing in the NFL, Reed completed 64 yards. He completed 1590 interception yards and seven pick-6's — including the now-famous 107-yard interception.
