After the Baltimore Ravens stifled the high-powered Los Angeles Chargers' offense in a 22-10 win on Saturday night, Ravens safety Eric Weddle became a bit brash.

“Honestly, why not? What do we do? We play great defense,” Weddle said when asked if his team could reach the Super Bowl, according to Nick Shook of NFL.com. “We control the ball on offense. We play great special teams. Why can't you win playoff football? That's the ingredients to win. Anyone has a chance. If we get in the tournament, we have as a good a shot as anybody. I know for a fact no wants to see us. I know that.”

The Ravens improved to 9-6 with the huge win over the Chargers, maintaining their hold on the second Wild Card spot in the AFC and putting some pressure on the 8-5-1 Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.

Baltimore has won five of its last six games, holding teams to under 20 points in four of those five victories.

The Ravens' recent winning ways have also coincided with a change at starting quarterback, as rookie Lamar Jackson has taken the place of Joe Flacco, who suffered a hip injury back in early November.

Flacco is healthy now, but Baltimore has decided to stick with Jackson, who has provided the Ravens' offense with a new dimension courtesy of his ability to run the football.

However, Jackson actually beat the Chargers with his arm on Saturday, throwing for a career-high 204 yards and posting a passer rating of 101.3. He rushed for 39 yards on 13 carries.
