The NFL is going through a mass haul of coaching personnel as multiple teams are searching for new head coaches and coordinators. It seems the Baltimore Ravens have already found their replacement for Wink Martindale. What makes it odd, is that he aims to leave the Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines for John Harbaugh and Baltimore.

According to Ari Meirov, the Ravens plan “to hire Michigan DC Mike Macdonald as their new DC.” This is a solid hire, considering Macdonald coached a stellar defense and is familiar working with Baltimore and the Harbaugh brothers. We'll see how this plays out, but this franchise should be excited about the future.

The Ravens already have a decent roster, but were cut short of a playoff run due to injuries. This defense has the talent to be one of the best in the league but could be even better next year with Macdonald in charge. It is funny that he's leaving Jim Harbaugh for John Harbaugh, which could be the start of a family feud that doesn't involve Steve Harvey.

Baltimore is hopeful they'll return to form next year, as this offseason gives them a chance to regroup. It'll be interesting to see how the Ravens bounce back, considering the Cincinnati Bengals are making a statement run in the 2022 NFL playoffs.

Furthermore, Macdonald leaving Michigan for the Ravens doesn't bode well for the Wolverines. With rumors of Jim Harbaugh interested in returning to the NFL, losing his defensive coordinator could put him over the edge. Keep an eye on the Harbaugh brothers, as they could both be in the NFL together once again.
