During an interview, the Ravens' general manager Eric DeCosta filled everyone in on Lamar Jackson's potential contract extension. Based on what DeCosta is saying, it sounds like there is a mutual interest between Jackson and Baltimore to get a deal done soon.

This is exciting news for any Ravens fan. Lamar Jackson is an elite option under center who provides the rushing consistency of a running back as well. Considering Baltimore was within the playoff hunt while dealing with multiple soul-crushing injuries, the outlook of this franchise is through the roof.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of extension Lamar Jackson could receive. He's a unique talent that gives the Ravens a chance to win every game. Keeping him within the organization makes the most logical sense, as there aren't many quarterbacks better than Jackson. They'd be crazy to let him walk which is why DeCosta is so open about the possibility of the team offering an extension.
