Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson is the best in the league.

Jackson has been voted by his fellow athletes as the top player in the entire NFL, as he ranked No.1 in the NFL's Top 100 list which was revealed on Wednesday. The Louisville alum came out of nowhere from not being part of the list in 2019 to being in the top spot prior to the 2020 NFL season.

For what it's worth though, while some would like to see Patrick Mahomes take the top spot (he's No.4), Lamar Jackson is equally deserving.

Jackson had himself quite a season last year. He set an NFL record of 1,206 rushing yards and also the most rushing attempts by a quarterback with 176. He tallied a total of 36 touchdown passes, which was first in the league, to lead the Ravens to a 14-2 regular season record and en route the division title.

After a masterful season, Jackson was named league MVP and also made his debut in both the Pro Bowl and the First-Team All-Pro selection.

He did it all at just 23 years old.

Jackson was selected by the Ravens with the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft after an amazing career with the Louisville Cardinals. The playmaker set 42 school records and 12 ACC records in just three years, finishing his collegiate career with a whopping total of 13,175 passing and rushing yards and 119 total touchdowns.

The Florida native quickly brought his A-game to the league, as he took over the starting QB role for the Ravens midway through his rookie year in 2018.

After just two years in the league — setting multiple records and grabbing a ton of individual awards and accolades — Jackson is far from reaching his full potential. Is a Super Bowl crown up next for LJ? Fans will have to wait and see.
