It's a big day for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson today. Jackson, one of the best college players to set foot in the NCAA, got his jersey retired today by his alma mater Louisville, in a big event to be attended by fans and students.

This big ceremony has caught the eyes of many legendary sports figures. Most notably, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James tweeted out his enthusiasm about the Ravens QB's emotional moment. Here's what the King had to say.

“So 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!! Congrats Young King 🤴🏾@Lj_era8🙏🏾✊🏾❤️👑”

Jackson turned himself into a Louisville Cardinal legend in his three-year stay there. He electrified the crowds with his dynamic quarterback play, showing shades of being a deadly dual-threat quarterback. In his sophomore season, he was the recipient of the Heisman Trophy, the first-ever Cardinal to win the award. He parlayed that success into a spot on the Baltimore Ravens, where he proved that he could still be deadly in the pros. He won unanimous MVP honors in just his second season, and he's been trending uphill ever since.

As for his relationship with LeBron James, Lamar Jackson has earned the respect of the Lakers star. In the Ravens' close loss to the Las Vegas Raiders this season, James commended Jackson's accountability after the quarterback made a crucial turnover. There's a lot of respect between these two legends of their own games.

The Ravens superstar was visibly emotional throughout the entire program. Lamar Jackson deserves every bit of this jersey retirement ceremony. Interestingly enough, he's only the second football player to get his jersey retired in Louisville, the first one being another quarterback in Johnny Unitas.
