Could we be on the verge of encountering the unthinkable? Could current Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell exchange his black and yellow threads for some black and purple as a member of the Baltimore Ravens?

Although the Le'Veon Bell saga remains far from over with the 2019 offseason in its very early stages, the Steelers running back will almost certainly be sporting a new uniform come next season. With several teams already being linked to the prolific rusher, including the Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans New York Jets, to name a few, Bell could very well end up in Baltimore as well.

However, it appears as though Bell will be viewed as more of a luxury to have rather than a necessity for the Ravens going forward.

“The Ravens finished second in the league this past season in rushing yards per game and that’s by relying primarily on a quarterback, an undrafted free agent starter [Gus Edwards] and a former fourth-round pick [Kenneth Dixon],” writes Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. “Bell would help any team, but he’s more of a luxury than a necessity for the Ravens. And right now, the Ravens have far too many necessities that will require salary cap space and draft picks to fill.”

The Ravens seem to be in the midst of turnover in terms of the team's roster as a whole as well. With the possibility of adding Bell looming, it will also be quarterback Lamar Jackson's team come Week 1 of the 2019-20 regular season.
