The Baltimore Ravens pulled off a stunner in the 2022 NFL Draft, trading star receiver Marquise Brown to the Cardinals for a first-round pick. The team used that pick to draft safety Kyle Hamilton with the 14th overall pick. The move instantly bolsters their defense, but breaks apart the successful tag-team of Brown and Lamar Jackson.

A few minutes after the trade, the ex-Ravens wide receiver took to Twitter. Marquise Brown lamented the fact that he won't be able to play with Lamar Jackson for now.

However, the wide-out promised that he'll see the star quarterback again at the top of the league at some point.

Brown was one of Jackson's favorite targets in Baltimore, and for good reason. The former first-round pick is one of the better receivers of the team, and Jackson wasn't shy about using “Hollywood” Brown to his full extent. However, injuries last season completely derailed the team, leading to them missing the playoffs.

As of now, it's unclear what the Ravens will do in filling the void left by Brown in the wide receiver room. They still have plenty of picks in the second and third rounds, which is where they'll likely take a shot at a wide-out. Antonio Brown also looms as a potential addition, as Jackson has expressed interest in playing with the Super Bowl champion.

Regardless, this will shape up to be an interesting season for the Ravens. How far can this team go next season with a fully healthy squad? Can they take control of the AFC North once again?
