Baltimore Ravens signal-caller Lamar Jackson is certainly not a pocket quarterback, and this is not just reflected in how many rushing yards he accumulated in 2018.

Jackson also throws much better when he gets on the run, as evidenced by Pro Football Focus statistic that highlights how much better Jackson threw the football off of play actions.

Of course, you don't always get out of the pocket on play actions, but a lot of the time, quarterbacks use play actions to roll out and throw on the move, which seems to be Jackson's specialty.

The 22-year-old is coming off of a rookie campaign in which he made seven starts and threw for 1,201 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing 58.2 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 84.5. In addition, Jackson racked up 695 yards and five scores on the ground while averaging 4.5 yards per carry.

Jackson, who played his collegiate football at the University of Louisville, was originally selected by the Ravens in the first round (32nd pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He started the season on the bench but was thrust into the starting role after Joe Flacco went down with a hip injury. However, Baltimore played much better with Jackson under center, and even with Flacco got healthy, Jackson kept the job.

John Harbaugh and Co. then made a clear commitment to Jackson moving forward this offseason when the Ravens decided to trade Flacco, who had been the starting quarterback since 2008 and led them to a Super Bowl during the 2012-13 campaign, to the Denver Broncos.
