Robert Griffin III is back in the NFL and this time isn't taking anything for granted. Or, at least so he says.

In a catch-up with the Baltimore Ravens quarterback by TMZ, RGIII vows that he's been “working hard” in anticipation for the upcoming quarterback battle this summer.

Griffin III, 28, is back after a year off from the NFL. After starting five games for the Cleveland Browns in 2016, nobody took a chance on him a year ago. The same pattern took hold after the 2014 season when he started seven games for the team that drafted him, the Washington Redskins.

After only playing in one NFL season over the last three, he's landed with the Ravens in a loaded quarterback situation with Super Bowl champ Joe Flacco and first-round rookie Lamar Jackson.

Other than the elementary questions asked by the TMZ video man on the street who caught up with RGIII, there's not much to learn from. Griffin said all the right things while getting on with his regular day.

In 40 games started and 42 games played, Griffin's thrown for 8,983 yards and 42 touchdowns to 26 interceptions. Many would be surprised his TD-INT ratio is that solid. What's not surprising is his propensity to find himself injured.

Griffin's participated in just 42 of a possible 64 games through four seasons.
