Unlike Microsoft, who are releasing these absurd Xbox Series X Controllers to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Razer's is less abhorrent.
Sonic fans have always had the reputation of veering towards the weird side, but even for them, Microsoft's official Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Xbox Series X controllers were a bit too much. Hence, the design by Razer to promote the film, albeit not that special-looking either, is a breath of fresh air, to say the least.
Razer is selling their version of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 controllers for $199.99. The controller features a white and grey checkered background, with Sonic motifs front and back. The controller features wireless connectivity and impulse triggers – up to par with current standards in gaming controllers today. Its battery life is marketed to last 12 hours per full charge.
Unfortunately for those who are excited to get their hands on these controllers, Razer won't be putting these up for sale just yet. The controllers are up for pre-order, but you'll have to sign up on their website, give them your email, and wait for them to send you a notification email on when the controllers will finally hit the market.
