If you're a sports fan, you've seen this man.

Marlins Man has made a name for himself wearing his signature orange Marlins attire at many of the biggest sporting events around the country. Seeing him in the background of TV has become the expectation.

Don't bother looking for him at Game 7 of the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs tonight.

Safety concerns are keeping the super fan away. Earlier this season he was escorted from Progressive Field.

“Everywhere I went, I was threatened,” he said. “I can't even use the words on the video and publish it. But it was like, ‘Get out of here; I wish I had a gun or a knife; If I didn't leave my knife in the pickup truck, I'd stab you right now; Get the frick out of here – we were two runs away from beating you in '97.' I mean, I can't even say the stuff I was told because it's a public forum.”

The Indians' World Series history with the Marlins surely has a lot to do with this. But it's a shame that Marlins Man, who has been at the last five World Series clinchers, won't be in attendance tonight.

Better safe than sorry, though.
