The MLB offseason is here which means there are certainly some blockbuster deals that are going to happen in the coming months. One of the names that is reportedly garnering a lot of trade interest in Cincinnati Reds starter Luis Castillo, according to Jon Morosi:

As noted, Castillo isn't a free agent until 2023. But, the Reds are evidently willing to part ways with him right now if they can acquire the right pieces in return. The hard-throwing right-hander was atrocious through the first two months of the 2021 season, but he improved immensely from June onwards, posting a 2.73 ERA. He made a team-high 33 starts and pitched 187.2 innings, posting an 8-16 record and 3.98 ERA.

The Reds had the 20th worst team ERA in the Majors at 4.40 ERA, but the 28-year-old has proven to be one of the better arms in the National League across the last couple of years. Given how he finished the season, it's surprising that Cincy is listening to offers. However, you never know what the other team is going to put on the table. Castillo's name was also involved in trade rumors last winter, but he ultimately stayed put.

The Reds already made some moves this offseason, trading Tucker Barnhart to the Detroit Tigers while placing veteran lefty Wade Miley on Waivers. The Chicago Cubs quickly picked him up.
