The future is now for the Washington Redskins. At the team's mini-camp for rookies, undrafted free agents, and try-out players on Friday, Dwayne Haskins showed off the deep accuracy and touch that made him a first-round pick, hitting fellow rookie Kelvin Harmon in perfect stride in the end zone during one-on-ones.

Beautiful.

Haskins, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, was once considered a candidate for No. 1 overall selection. Even after the Arizona Cardinals homed in on Kyler Murray with the draft's top pick, an overwhelming majority of analysts expected the Ohio State signal-caller to be the next quarterback off the board. Instead, the New York Giants shocked the football world by picking Duke's Daniel Jones at No. 6, beginning a draft-night slide for Haskins that lasted until the middle of the first round.

The 22-year-old threw for 50 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and 4,831 yards while completing a whopping 70 percent of his passes as a first-year starter last season, leading the Buckeyes to a 13-1 record and a win over Washington in the Rose Bowl. Haskins signed his rookie contract on Thursday, a four-year deal that includes a fifth-year option.

Harmon, meanwhile, was selected by the Redskins in the sixth round, with the 206th overall pick of the draft. He had 81 catches for 1,186 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior last season at North Carolina State en route to First Team All-ACC honors. At 6-foot-2, 221 pounds, Harmon is a big, sure-handed target who compensates for a lack of elite separation ability by using his size.

We'll see if this big play is a sign of things to come for he andHaskins as Washington's mini-camp continues over the weekend.
