The Washington Redskins have been moving forward with a new regime in recent weeks. Head coach Ron Rivera is now in charge and that has a lot of people excited.

However, not everyone is going to be 100% on board with every move. That includes players.

It recently came to light that star cornerback Quinton Dunbar might be one of those people. There were reports that he was unhappy and wanted to be released or traded.

Now it looks like those reports might not have been completely accurate. And now, according to Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com, Dunbar is set to meet with Rivera.

It's safe to assume the meeting is about working things out. You can understand Dunbar's frustration. Despite being one of the best cornerbacks in football, he's also one of the most underpaid.

Admittedly, he's probably not all that well known. That's more due to the fact that he was playing on the 3-13 Redskins though.

In reality, Dunbar has been great over the last few years and took a massive leap forward in 2019 into elite territory. Dunbar was constantly locking down whoever he was covering, and made quite a few massive plays throughout the year.

It would make sense that Dunbar is not all that happy with his contract. He could simply be looking for more money, and if the Redskins are not willing to give it to him, then maybe he does want to move on.

For now though, all we really know is that Dunbar isn't exactly thrilled with his situation. It looks like Rivera is ready to try to make things work out.

This would certainly be a big win for Rivera if he could work out a new deal with the cornerback. Oh, and it looks like things are getting a little bit better with superstar left tackle Trent Williams too.
