All indications recently are that the Washington Redskins are not 100 percent sold on Dwayne Haskins entering the 2020 NFL campaign as their starting quarterback.

First, we heard that the Redskins could potentially take University of Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the second overall pick in the draft this April. And now, sources are telling Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network that Washington is expected to make a bid for Philip Rivers.

Pauline notes that Rivers would be an unlikely fit in the nation's capital, as it would probably take a massive contract to convince him to sign on. But it is still an interesting tidbit, nonetheless.

The Redskins took Haskins with the 15th overall pick last season and didn't seem to know what to do with him throughout the year.

Case Keenum won the job as the opening day starter, but he dealt with some injuries and eventually gave way to Haskins, who played in seven games and made seven starts.

The Ohio State product did not look all that impressive during the time he was on the field, as he threw for 1,365 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 58.6 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 76.1.

Still, it seems odd that Washington would give up on Haskins that fast, especially considering that the soon-to-be-23-year-old did not exactly have a wide variety of weapons at his disposal in his rookie year.

Meanwhile, Rivers will be playing for a team other than the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers for the first time in his NFL career, as he began his NFL tenure with the Chargers back in 2004.
