The Los Angeles Clippers have already retained both Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers in free agency, but they've decided to bring in another guard to bolster their roster.

For the veteran's minimum, Raymond Felton has agreed to terms on a deal with the Clippers, as first reported by Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com.

Felton was a solid point guard for the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets) for his first five years in the NBA before bouncing around between the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Dallas Mavericks.

He's struggled with nagging injuries throughout his career, but for the first time since 2009-10, Felton appeared in 80 games for the Mavericks last season. He averaged 9.5 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in 27.4 minutes per game. He received 31 starts.

It will be interesting to see what sort of role head coach Doc Rivers gives Felton, given the Clippers' backcourt depth. But with all of the injuries that plagued the Clips during 2015-16, they know as much as anybody that it's not a bad thing to have reinforcements at every position who can at least produce at serviceable level.
