The Rockets are 18-16 this season, and they have won three of their last five games. On Saturday, the Rockets were able to beat the Milwaukee Bucks by four. On the season. Alperen Sengun leads the team with 21.4 points per game, 9.0 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. Both Jalen Green and Fred VanVleet are scoring above 17.0 points per game this season, as well. VanVleet leads the team with 8.5 assists per game. Dillon Brooks and Tari Eason are going to be questionable for the game.

Why The Rockets Could Cover The Spread

The Rockets are one of the better defensive teams in the NBA. They force teams to take contested shots, and their slower pace of play frustrates opponents. Houston allows just 109.9 points per game, 86.7 shots per game, opponents shoot 45.1 percent against them, and just 32.8 percent from three. Teams have a lot of trouble against the Rockets, and this game should be no different.

The Heat score the seventh-fewest points per game this season. I would not be shocked to see Houston hold to Miami to under 110 points in this game. When that happens this season, the Rockets are 16-4. Allowing under 110 points is going to be key for Houston, and I think that is a very good possibility in this game.

Why The Heat Could Cover The Spread

Miami can match the Rockets on defense. They allow just 111.6 points per game, which is the eighth-fewest in the NBA. This is because they allow the second-fewest shots per game. Miami slows the pace way down, and they want to run their half court offense. They will not let teams turn the pace up, and that is when they are at their best. Houston is okay with that, so it will come down to whether or not Miami can play good defense in the half court. If they do, the Heat will win this game at home.

Final Rockets-Heat Prediction & Pick

This is going to be a close, low-scoring game. Both teams slow the pace down, so I would not be shocked to see the game hit the under. As for the winner, I like the Heat at home. Houston is good, but the Heat should be able to handle business on their home court, so I am going to take the Heat spread.

Final Rockets-Heat Prediction & Pick: Heat -5 (-110), Under 216.5 (-110)
