Houston Rockets star Eric Gordon is out and it's not looking good. The 32-year-old veteran fell down on a non-contact injury in the third quarter of their game against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.

Gordon appeared to have injured his groin as he tried to defend Kings guard De'Aaron Fox and was helped off the floor right after the play (via Jackson Gatlin of Locked on Rockets).

Rockets courtside reporter Cayleigh Griffin confirmed that Gordon strained his right groin and was not eligible to return.

It's been another rough season for the former Sixth Man of the Year as he's been in and out of the Rockets lineup. Gordon has already missed eight games prior to Thursday and it seems he will miss a few more outings with this new groin issue. Gordon was actually questionable to play in this game with a sore left knee.

After the blockbuster trade that sent a disgruntled James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets, it's been a series of unfortunate events for these Rockets as injured stars continue to pile up. Danuel House Jr. has been dealing with a right knee contusion while main big man Christian Wood is still recovering from a right ankle sprain. Eric Gordon's latest setback isn't helping at all.
