The Houston Rockets are all of a sudden on a roll, winners of four straight games after losing 15 in a row earlier in the season. However, the Rockets did get hit with a couple of key injuries in Wednesday night's historic win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, with Christian Wood suffering an ankle sprain and Kevin Porter Jr. aggravating a thigh contusion that has been bothering him for a bit now.

ESPN's Tim MacMahon gave an update on these injuries Thursday, and it's a mixed bag. The good news is Wood's ankle injury doesn't appear to be too serious, with a chance that he could play in Friday's game against the Orlando Magic.

The bad news is it looks like Porter could miss some time. The youngster has shown some toughness trying to play through this injury, but at this point it's probably better for him to rest up and let the injury heal.

If Porter does indeed miss extended time, one has to wonder what that could mean for John Wall, who has been sitting out all season. Wall wants to start and play big minutes, while the Rockets don't want to commit that kind of role to him. But with both Porter and rookie Jalen Green hurting, perhaps it's time to dust off Wall and give him a shot.

This could obviously complicate things once the young guys are healthy again, but Wall wants to play and it might not be a bad idea to let him. It will take some time for him to get back up to speed, so we'll see what happens.
