It was the featured Summer League matchup on Tuesday night and the Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons lived up to the hype. No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham dropped 20 points while the No. 2 pick, Jalen Green, poured in 25 points.

Following the win for the Rockets, Green made it known he's still got a chip on his shoulder after the Pistons passed on him at No. 1, per theScore.com.

“My chip is super big. It started at draft night when I got drafted No. 2. I felt I was No. 1…I was still trying to get everyone involved and not make it a one-on-one battle between me and Cade. I could have turned around and did that for myself, but we end up getting the win, so that's all that matters.”

Green had a slow start to the game for the Rockets but some early free-throws in the first quarter helped him find a rhythm as he put on a show in front of the Las Vegas crowd. After he hit a late three in the 4th quarter to really put the game out of reach, he let Cunningham know about it.

It's a shame these top two picks from the 2021 NBA Draft aren't in the same conference or else a real rivalry of sorts could've blossomed. Still, Green will circle the Pistons on the schedule whenever the Rockets matchup against them.

It's just the Summer League so some of it needs to be taken with a grain of salt but, the Rockets look more and more correct by the day for having selected Green at No. 2 overall.
