The Houston Rockets will likely be without their center Clint Capela for their next game.

According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, Capela could be out when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

Shortly after the Rockets were blown away by the Oklahoma City Thunder 113-92 on Thursday, head coach Mike D'Antoni revealed that the 6-foot-10 Swiss big man is still experiencing some lingering issues on his heel.

Capela was not his usual dominant self against OKC. He put up just eight points on 3-of-8 shooting to go along with 11 boards and one block in 29 minutes.

Prior to Thursday's game, Capela had been playing well in the Rockets' last three games — all wins. His strong play was highlighted by a 22-point and 22-rebound outing against the Atlanta Hawks. His rhythm was off from the get-go against OKC. Capela was outplayed by Thunder center Steven Adams, who finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Capela has been bothered by the same right heel contusion all season, missing two games last month due to the same issue. Despite his health concerns, D'Antoni has not been conservative with the 25-year-old's minutes. Capela is still playing 31 minutes per game.

He is still a beast on the interior for Houston, notching solid averages of 14.5 points, 14.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.8 blocks in 31 games. His possible extended absence could be problematic for the Rockets. Houston is still looking to break through the top three of the Western Conference standings.

Houston (25-12) is currently just a couple of games behind the second-ranked Denver Nuggets. The red-hot Utah Jazz, meanwhile, are hot on their trails after winning their last seven games.
