Houston Rockets forward P.J. Tucker is known for being one of the most gritty and defensively gifted players in the NBA, but he’s also known for being the sneaker king of the NBA. His sneaker collection has become a constant topic for discussion, and now Tucker has finally divulged what his top five favorite sneakers of all-time.

In a brief video submitted to NBA on ESPN, Tucker went down the list of his five favorite shoes, and Kobe Bryant’s name appears more than once, with the Kobe 4 and Kobe 5 being the first two shoes he named. This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as Tucker has long loved the shoe, and likely has worn more Kobe’s during this season than anything else.

Rounding out his picks, Tucker noted that the Air Max 1, Air Max Sensation, and Nike Yeezy 2 were the next three shoes to make the list. Not only is it an eclectic list, with a variety of different types of shoes making the cut, but it also speaks to just how knowledgable Tucker is about the shoes in general.

Despite the Rockets disappointing playoff exit against the Golden State Warriors, Tucker once again had a pretty stellar year. Although he only averaged 7.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, he was arguably the second most important player for the Rockets during their playoff run this season, and was constantly giving the Warriors fits on the defensive end during their second-round series.

Should the Rockets ever want to get over the hump and make it to an NBA Finals, Tucker will be a key piece of it, as his presence and ability to defend and knock down clutch shots is almost impossible to replicate.
