In the 9th inning of Sunday's game between the Colorado Rockies and Miami Marlins a fan at Coors Field was heard yelling a racial slur multiple times at Lewis Brinson. Somehow, even with the fan clearly screaming it, they were not identified. The Rockies released a statement after the game.

Reaction poured in from everywhere for the Marlins' outfielder after what happened against the Rockies.

While the Rockies are investigating, let's hope someone steps forward in helping to identify the guilty party. The scene itself looked bizarre as it as clearly heard on the television broadcast yet everyone seemed to carry on as though nothing had happened or is if they hadn't heard it.

Just last month in July at a Yankees – Red Sox game in the Bronx, a New York fan was banned from all baseball stadiums for the rest of his life after throwing a ball that struck Boston outfielder Alex Verdugo. Verdugo had tossed the ball into the stands for a fan to keep as a souvenir. Unfortunately, the person who caught the ball thought it would be a good idea to fire it back at Verdugo when he turned his back to the crowd and back towards the field. The same action should be carried out by the Rockies and Coors Field and MLB once this subject is identified.

A tip of the cap to Lewis Brinson of the Marlins for handling this the way he did when nobody would've blamed him had he reacted with anger.
