Royce Lewis' fiancée is Samantha Hobert. Lewis is known as a standout with the Minnesota Twins, but Hobert carved out her own successful sports career at Arizona State.
The pair met at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Lewis starred there as a baseball player while Hobert was on the school's soccer team.
The Minnesota Twins drafted Lewis with the first overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft. He immediately signed and reported to the Gulf Coast League to begin his professional career. Lewis' signing bonus of $6.73 million has helped him have a net worth in 2024 of $2.5 million.
He starred in the minor leagues for the Twins for the next three seasons until the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the entirety of the 2020 season.
Lewis was excited to get the season going again in 2021 but tore his ACL and had to rehab for the entire year. He played 12 games with the Minnesota Twins in the 2022 season before re-tearing the same ACL.
Lewis returned in 2023 and put up some great numbers for the Twins, including hitting for home runs in the 2023 playoffs, which tied him with franchise legend Kirby Puckett for most in one postseason. He helped the Twins end a couple of long playoff droughts.

Who is Samantha Hobert?
Samantha played four years of varsity soccer at JSerra Catholic High School, the same place Lewis starred as a baseball player. She earned a spot on the Arizona State soccer team and attended the W.P. Carey School of Business.
Samantha was born on Oct. 12, 1998. Her parents, Billy Joe and Danielle, raised her in Southern California. She has four siblings: Taylor, Kennedy, Mackenzie and Joey.
Her Arizona State profile states that she enjoys singing, hanging out with friends, and watching football and hockey in her off-time. Her brother Joey was a wide receiver at Washington State and later transferred to Utah Tech.
Hobert was an accomplished soccer player in high school, becoming a four-year starter on the varsity team. She was a First Team All-American, a Trinity League First Team All-League selection, and a scholar athlete.
Hobert was a leader, becoming captain for her final two seasons while leading her team to the CIF playoffs all four years. She also led her club team to a fifth-place finish at the U16 ECNL National Championships and won three club titles.
Hobert didn't have the same success at ASU, appearing in only two games in her freshman season. The team doesn't list other statistics for Hobert, so she may have decided to pursue academics and step back from soccer.

Samantha Hobert and Royce Lewis made their relationship official in 2018, but they were likely friends for longer than that since they attended the same high school. The pair got engaged on Nov. 18, 2023.

Hobert continues to work with her business degree, holding a role at Heslin Holdings Inc. as an Acquisition Associate since April 2021. She was previously a Director of Investor Relations at Green Sands Capital.
Hobert currently works in Laguna Hills, Calif., but she will likely move closer to Lewis during the MLB season once they tie the knot.
