Entering their game against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night, Russell Westbrook is averaging 30.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 11.3 assists, including three-straight triple-doubles.

In order for him to achieve a feat last done 55 years ago, the 28-year-old UCLA product needed at least four rebounds to enter December averaging double digits in three different statistical categories. Westbrook did just that with still 4:30 left in the first quarter of the game.

With that, the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard guaranteed himself a triple-double average entering December, replicating Oscar Robertson‘s achievement in 1961.

There's certainly a long way to go before he pulls off a triple-double average after 82 games, but given his usage rate and how much the Thunder rely on him every single game, the feat won't be entirely impossible for him to achieve.
