Boxing superstar Ryan Garcia continues to make headlines for the wrong reasons. This time, he was reportedly arrested for felony vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

A video of Ryan's arrest has since been going viral, with the 25-year-old seen handcuffed and wearing a helmet but without a shirt on. He was being escorted out of the establishment by police officers. Apparently, Ryan was arrested after he damaged his room and the hallway in the hotel, per TMZ.

“Law enforcement sources tell us the boxer was arrested and taken into custody after he allegedly damaged property at the hotel, including his room and the hallway,” TMZ reported. “In California, any damage over $400 can be considered a felony.”

For what it's worth, the report highlighted that Garcia “complied with authorities and went peacefully.” However, TMZ did note that he seemed to be “under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.”

Hours after the arrest, Garcia's attorney, Darin Chavez, provided an update to TMZ and confirmed that his client has been taken by Beverly Hills police and was brought to hospital to get checked. While Chavez didn't detail what happened, he noted that there's a possibility that the boxer might be charged with “public intoxication.”

“[Ryan] was taken by the BHPD to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment and to our knowledge, may be charged with public intoxication,” Chavez explained.

It is certainly a concerning development for Ryan Garcia, who has been dealing with a fair share of troubles in recent weeks.

Ryan Garcia's recent problems

As boxing fans would know, Ryan Garcia is coming off a majority decision win over Devin Haney in their super lightweight bout last April. But since Garcia missed weight and was three pounds over, he was not eligible to win the title.

Regardless, Garcia proved to everyone that he was the better boxer as he dominated Haney. Unfortunately, the fight also became the source of controversy after Garcia was found to test positive for the banned PED called Ostarine. The test was done a day before and after the fight, a development that tainted Garcia's win over Haney.

Garcia, however, denied the report and exclaimed, “Fake f**king news. I never took a f**king steroid in my f**king life… I beat Devin fair and square.” He then went on to say that he won't be doing a rematch against Haney.

“Nah I ain’t going to rematch him. I beat him easy, fair and square. I’d be damned if I rematch him,” Garcia added.

After that, Garcia went viral once again when he took to social media to complain to Golden Boy promotions that they haven't been paid their PPV share–a claim that Haney supported, as he, too, has yet to get his pay.

“Even if you don't like me The fact I haven’t received payment for my fight is messed up,” Garcia said

On a more personal note, Garcia also recently revealed that his mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Amid all these issues that he's facing already, Garcia certainly didn't do himself any favor by getting into legal trouble.

Hopefully, though, Garcia will be able to resolve his recent problems and learn from it. He's one of the better boxers in this current generation, but unfortunately, his recent actions is becoming a concern.
