As the Washington Redskins get ready to play the New Orleans Saints, it's giving Adrian Peterson a chance to talk about his short stint with the Saints and he said one thing was clear very early, Alvin Kamara was a special talent and he knew he was going to see the field over him.

Peterson admits that when he signed he thought it was a good opportunity to split carries with Mark Ingram but what he didn't see happening was Kamara being so good so early.

“I know talent when I see it,” Peterson said via ESPN. “He was a guy I knew was going to play; there’s no way he’s not going to take the field. … Just being around him and learning his personality and seeing his work ethic. It was a no-brainer he was going to be there for a long time.”

Peterson moved on to the Arizona Cardinals where he had success and it was good enough to get a contract this offseason with the Redskins.

Peterson has rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns for Washington this season. He has also been a threat out of the backfield catching the ball, something that is new to his game.

Kamara being the lead back for the Saints has also worked out and there are some that argue he is the best running back in the league. He has rushed for 275 yards and five touchdowns so far this year. He also has 336 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Although the two guys have taken different paths in the last year to get to this point, it is working out well for both running backs.
