The New Orleans Saints lost to the Los Angeles Rams in devastating and controversial fashion during the NFC Championship Game back in January, as two blown no-calls on the same play late in the fourth quarter had a profound effect on the end of the game and allowed the Rams to tie things up with a field goal and then win on a 57-yard boot by Greg Zuerlein in overtime.

Months later, wounds are still healing in New Orleans, and Saints defensive lineman Cameron Jordan is seeking revenge. However, he does not want New Orleans' rematch with Los Angeles to come too early.

“I’m going to say not initially,” Jordan told NFL Network. “Let me get a couple games in. Give me time for our team to get super cohesive so I know we’re battle-ready, sharpened up. I’m going to say game five or game six.”

The Saints also battled the Rams during the regular season this past year, topping them in 45-35 shootout. However, Los Angeles got the last laugh by besting New Orleans in the playoffs to advance to the Super Bowl.

Jordan is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he racked up 49 tackles, 12 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and six passes defended en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of California, was originally selected by the Saints in the first round (24th pick overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He has gone on to make four Pro Bowls while also earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2017.
