New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave's recent arrest has a new twist. The police officer who apprehended him didn't care he plays for the Saints, per the 33rd Team's Ari Meirov.

The officer's body cam footage showed Chris Olave asking him if he's arresting him. The officer replied in the affirmative. Olave then said he plays for the Saints. The officer nonchalantly said, “And?” It's his way of saying it doesn't matter – playing for an NFL team doesn't put him above the law.

New Orleans police arrested Chris Olave due to reckless driving on Monday evening. Olave drove 35 miles over the speed limit. He did not resist arrest and cooperated with authorities. They eventually released him from Kenner City Jail.

The Saints made Chris Olave the 11th overall selection of the 2022 NFL Draft. He had a decent rookie season in New Orleans. Olave caught for 1,042 yards and four touchdowns on 119 receptions in 15 games last year. Despite Olave's best efforts, the Saints won just seven games and missed the postseason again.

It was a rough week for the second-year wideout. Olave recorded 57 receiving yards on 15 receptions in the Saints' 31-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on TNF. Saints head coach Dennis Allen voiced his displeasure over Chris Olave's performance after the game.

Nevertheless, Chris Olave's 471 receiving yards still leads all Saints receivers through Week 7. They will go up against the Indianapolis Colts in a battle of 3-4 teams on Sunday. The Saints have lost four of their past five games after a 2-0 start. Hopefully, Chris Olave will shine and help New Orleans get the dub in Week 8.
