The New Orleans Saints are coming off a huge win in Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers to create separation atop the NFC South division race, but on Thursday Night Football this week they could be without star running back Mark Ingram.

Ingram is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, according to Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk.

The Saints will be without left guard Andrus Peat tomorrow night against the Falcons, but they may get running back Mark Ingram back on the field.

Peat has been ruled out on the team’s final injury report of the week, while Ingram is listed as questionable.

Ingram is dealing with a toe injury that kept him out of team-related drills on Tuesday.  He has played in all 12 games so far this season, ranking fourth in the league with 922 rushing yards and first with nine rushing touchdowns. Ingram is on pace to finish with his second straight 1,000-rushing yard campaign while tying a career-best 5.1 yards per carry.

If he is unable to go against the Falcons, rookie running back Alvin Kamara will step in as the primary  starter. Kamara has been one of the biggest surprises this season, becoming just the third rookie at his position to record at least 600 rushing yards and 600 receiving yards in a single season.

This marks the first of two meetings the Saints will have against the Falcons over the next three weeks, and the results could be a huge determining factor in both the overall playoff picture and the NFC South title race.
