New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton and the team's longtime quarterback in Drew Brees recently created a slew of headlines surrounding the country's “coronavirus” outbreak. With Payton actually contracting the virus and Brees promptly donating more than a few dollars to help those in need, the tandem is now creating much more entertaining and hilarious headlines.

With a little help from the team's official Twitter account, Payton clearly wanted his quarterback to call an audible upon encountering some unexpected friends on his afternoon walk.

Although it has seemed as though this historic duo would be broken up on more than one occasion over the years, Payton and Brees obviously still have quite the connection both on and off the field. With Brees recently re-signing with the Saints, he and Payton should expect continued success in New Orleans for at least another several seasons.

On the other hand, this tandem will certainly have their work cut out for them going forward as the NFC South division added former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who elected to sign with the rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady became a free agent for the first time in his NFL career this offseason while he and Brees will now go at it not once but twice per season going forward. Both signal-callers are signed to two-year deals with their respective franchises as it stands today.

It is also worth noting that the Saints lost out on the services of veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who previously backed up Brees, to another NFC South rival in the Carolina Panthers.
