The New Orleans Saints lost to the Buffalo Bills in ugly fashion on Thanksgiving. Saints quarterback Trevor Siemian put together another lackluster performance, prompting some fans and reporters to wonder why Taysom Hill, seemingly healthy, wasn't in as the team's starter. Head coach Sean Payton addressed that question after the game but only added to the confusion.

Say what? Wait, let me get this straight. So, Saints head coach Sean Payton is basically saying that Taysom Hill was healthy but not quite healthy enough to be the quarterback over Trevor Siemian? Make it make sense.

Why was Saints gadget guy Hill, who practiced fully all week, left off the final injury report if he wasn't healthy enough to play? This situation is just all sorts of confusing.

If there wasn't enough confusion already, add the fact that Hill just got a mega contract extension in the midst of Siemian quarterbacking the team to four straight losses. That contract extension, as well as the love that Payton has shown for Hill in the past, seemingly made it the perfect time for him to go with Hill over Siemian as the Saints signal-caller.

This situation is confounding and it's really starting to seem like Sean Payton doesn't know what to do about it, either. Well, Payton and the Saints better figure out who gives the team a better chance of winning between Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian and they better figure it out fast.

If they don't, the Saints season could go from a pleasant surprise to a terrifying nightmare real fast.
