The New Orleans Saints quarterback carousel took another turn on Sunday after Taysom Hill pulled up lame with an injury. Hill exited during the first half of the game with a reported foot injury, and was seen heading to the locker room with the Saints' medical staff. In his stead, Trevor Siemian was once again called upon to take over at quarterback, via Field Yates.

Hill went straight into the medical tent after picking up the foot injury, and Siemian was soon after seen warming up on the sidelines. Hill eventually exited the game, meaning that it is the Siemian show in New Orleans for the second half.

Siemian came in and was ultra-effective to close out the first half. He attempted seven pass attempts, completing four for 22 yards and a pair of touchdowns, helping the Saints extend their lead over the Falcons.

Siemian will enter the second half up by 18 points and will likely remain the starting quarterback going forward while the Saints await a further update on Hill's status. As of now, the former BYU product is considered questionable to return after Sean Payton revealed Hill is dealing with a Lisfranc injury in his left foot.

Siemian has started four games for the Saints this season, going 0-4 in those games. Entering Week 18, Siemian had completed 57.2% of his pass attempts for 1,083 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions. With New Orleans still alive in the playoff race in the NFC, Siemian will have to ensure the team doesn't lose the sizable lead they built during the first half. At 8-8, the Saints need a 49ers loss in order to squeeze into the playoffs, and with Hill off to the sideline, Sean Payton will be trusting Siemian to get the job done.
